Patchwork Angels QS Update January 10 , 2019
Happy New Year! I just realized this is my first newsletter this month! Sorry for the late start; the first week has been very busy! (Sale info comes after the announcements, so don't forget to read through!) Also, don't forget to redeem your Jingle coupons before January 31!
First off, we have to announce a staffing change here at the shop!
Our beloved Carolyn Stella has decided to retire from working at the shop to spend more time on her hobbies, family, and friends! She will be very much missed by all of us. We look forward to her visits even though she won't be here every Monday! During Applique Club tomorrow, Friday, January 11, we will wish her well. We have asked Carolyn to stay a bit after the class so others who wish to stop in and congratulate her on her retirement may do so.
For those who wonder, Applique Club will continue to be held monthly, and we will announce a "teacher" as soon as that is firmed up.
Eva O'Connor will be joining our staff later this month. Mary Caro has changed her work schedule to Saturday and Monday and Eva will be working Fridays instead of Mary. Obviously, as staff members have personal needs for different activities, schedules may change, but that is our general plan! Please welcome Eva to our staff when you see her!
We also added an additional Monday Afternoon Open Sew to our schedule as the evening classes were always full. This allows more flexibility for our quilters to choose to sew in the afternoon instead of the evening or even for both sessions, space permitting. If you have been wanting to try open sew or wanted to sew on Monday but there was never room, please check the schedule and come join us either in the afternoon from 2 pm to 5 pm or in the evening from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
Aha, finally, our sale for this weekend and next week: Today, January 10 through Saturday, January 18, ALL Halloween and Christmas items will be 30% off, including panels, kits, patterns, strips, layer cakes, etc. We will be attempting to gather most items closer together, but wherever you find it, you can take 30% off the marked price. Have to make room for Valentines Day and Spring fabrics!
